Sake Storm Cowboy, co-produced by Pharrell Williams and NIGO, releases the latest product from its “Season 3 (S3)” series, Natural Press, on Friday, July 1.
Sake Storm Cowboy is created in collaboration with Ohmine Sake Brewery, the Mine, Yamaguchi-based maker of innovative Japanese sake “against sake world”. The sake possesses a splendid aroma like a freshly picked apple, and the moment it enters your mouth you’ll be struck by a fruitiness akin to muscat or melons. This unique taste is interwoven with a light sweetness, reminiscent of wasanbon (fine-grained Japanese sugar) or steamed coconut rice. Natural Press is collected by allowing the fermentation mash to freely drip into collecting bottles. Mash in the fermentation tank will only yield enough sake to fill a few collecting bottles, making this sake the luxurious pièce de resistance in this series.
