NIGO
Creative Director

NIGO launched his own fashion brand in the 1990s, taking the world by storm and paving the way for streetwear culture today. In 2010, he started the lifestyle brand HUMAN MADE, based on the theme of “The Future is in the Past”. In 2016, he founded the Company and assumed the position of Director. Currently CEO and Creative Director, NIGO oversees brand strategy and the creative department. He also serves as Artistic Director of KENZO, part of LVMH Fashion Group, since 2021. He has served as the creative director of various brands and corporations, including the launch of two capsule collections with LOUIS VUITTON in 2020 and 2021. 

Rei Matsunuma
Representative Director
President & COO

Rei Matsunuma has served as President and Chief Operating Officer since 2022 and is responsible for overall management and business divisions of the Company. He was COO in 2021. Prior to joining the Company, he served in a number of director positions at Uniqlo Co., Ltd., including UT Collaboration Business Division, in which he drove the impressive growth of the UT collection, as well as Global PR and Japan Marketing.

Junichi Yanagisawa
Director, CFO

Junichi Yanagisawa is Chief Financial Officer, a position he assumed in 2018. He was actively involved in the preparations for the establishment of the Company. Prior to this, he provided advisory services for statutory audits, IPOs, M&A, business revitalization, and corporate restructuring at consulting firms Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLC and Deloitte Tohmatsu Financial Advisory LLC.
Junichi is a Certified Public Accountant in Japan and a Certified Member Analyst of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan.

Rehito Hatoyama
Director, CSO

Rehito Hatoyama has served as Chief Strategy Officer since 2021 and oversees global development and the strategy department. He also serves as Outside Director of several listed companies, including Pigeon Corporation, Transcosmos Inc. and Z Holdings Corporation. Prior to this, Rehito served as Outside Director of LINE Corporation and was Managing Director of Sanrio Co., Ltd., leading new business aspects such as business strategy, global expansion, and IT, after starting his career at Mitsubishi Corporation. 
Rehito holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. 

Shion Okamoto
External Director (Independent)*

Shion Okamoto has served as External Director since 2023. She is the Engagement Manager of Finance Management Division of Z Holdings Corporation since April 2022, seconded from Yahoo Japan Corporation, which she joined in 2016. From August 2021 to March 2022, she served as CFO and General Counsel of the subsidiary YJ Capital Inc. (currently known as Z Venture Capital Corporation) to which she was first seconded to execute new investments, monitor startups in Japan and overseas, and manage funds. Shion also serves as Outside Audit and Supervisory Board Member of WAKUWAKU Co., Ltd. since September 2022 and AEON Fantasy Co., Ltd. since May 2022. She began her career at Mori Hamada & Matsumoto in September 2008, providing counsel mainly in M&A, corporate restructuring and corporate legal affairs for clients in Japan and overseas.

 

Shion is an attorney-at-law in Japan and the US. She received her LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School in 2013. She graduated from Faculty of Law, Keio University, in 2007.   

W. David Marx
External Director (Independent)*

David has served as External Director since 2023. He is the writer of Status and Culture, which explores why things become popular and how culture changes. It was published by Viking Books in 2022 and earned strong reviews from The New York Times and other publications. His first book in 2015, Ametora, analyzes Japan’s fashion culture through the lens of American traditional style. Published in the US, it is a bestseller in Japan, Taiwan, China and Korea. David worked on the Communications team at Google Asia-Pacific for 13 years, ending his tenure as Senior Director. He has also worked with numerous global retail brands. David received a M.A. in Business from Keio University in 2006. He graduated from Harvard University with a bachelor’s degree in East Asian Studies in 2001.

Mika Kawasaki
Corporate Auditor

Mika Kawasaki assumed the position of Standing Corporate Auditor in 2021. Prior to joining the Company, she served as corporate auditor of Bank of Japan, KPMG AZSA LLC, KPMG Tax Corporation, and startups, and engaged in establishing and strengthening corporate governance systems, including statutory audits and advisory services for implementing J-SOX.

Hiroshi Yugeta
Corporate Auditor

Hiroshi Yugeta has served as Corporate Auditor since 2021. Prior to establishing Kobayashi & Yugeta Law Office, he worked at several major law firms. He also serves as Associate Professor at a law school, an expert committee member of Tokyo Customs, and an examination committee member of the patent attorney examination. From 2007 to 2015, he was External Corporate Auditor of Zenrin Co., Ltd. 
Hiroshi is an attorney-at-law in Japan since 2000 and is also a patent attorney. 




KAWS
Adviser

KAWS is a world-renowned contemporary artist. He engages audiences beyond the museums and galleries in which he regularly exhibits. His prolific body of work straddles the worlds of art and design to include paintings, murals, graphic and product design, street art, and large-scale sculptures. Over the last two decades KAWS has built a successful career with work that consistently shows his formal agility as an artist, as well as his underlying wit, irreverence, and affection for our times. Pharrell Williams
Adviser

Pharrell Williams is a visionary recording artist, producer, songwriter, philanthropist, fashion designer and entrepreneur with over 10B combined global music streams to date. He has been honored with 13 Grammy Awards, two Academy Award nominations, and Golden Globe and Emmy nominations. In 2019, Pharrell founded YELLOW, a non-profit that evens the odds for youth through education. That same year, Pharrell launched his first SOMETHING IN THE WATER festival. In 2020, Pharrell founded Humanrace to empower individuals in their pursuit of wellbeing. Williams also launched Black Ambition, a non-profit providing a bridge to success for Black and Hispanic entrepreneurs. In February 2023, Pharrell was named Louis Vuitton’s new Menswear Creative Director.
