The Levi’s® x HUMAN MADE 506 Trucker Jacket and 1944 501® Jean will both be released at 11:00 am (JST) on Thursday, April 7 on the HUMAN MADE Online Store.
NIGO is a serious collector of vintage Levi’s®. His collection is one of the best in the game, filled to the brim with hard-to-find vintage Levi’s® that would make any denim lover jealous. It’s his favorite covetable, archival styles that inspired this collaboration. The collection features two of NIGO’s favorite fits: the Levi’s® 506 Trucker Jacket and the 1944 Levi’s® 501® Jean. Both are made in Japan. As for the collection itself, the back of the 506 Trucker Jacket&mdashwhich comes in pre-shrunk Japanese selvedge denim (15 oz)&mdashfeatures an embroidered HUMAN MADE logo with the brand’s famous “Gears for futuristic teenagers” tag line, as well as a Levi Strauss & Co. logo in Levi’s® Red Tab red. There’s also a custom embroidered version of the iconic HUMAN MADE duck that was created specifically for this collection. For the 1944 501® Jean, those come in Japanese shrink-to-fit selvedge denim (15 oz), and feature all of the classic 501® details&mdashthe Levi’s® Red Tab, the leather Two-Horse backpatch, and the iconic arcuate back pocket stitching. Both the Trucker jacket and the 501® Jean feature Levi’s® x HUMAN MADE co-branded shank buttons that were specially developed for the project. The denim for both pieces was developed in a Japanese artisan mill using traditional Levi’s® manufacturing techniques.
