On Saturday November 4th, OTSUMO, the company behind Human Made, will open OTSUMO PLAZA. Situated in Minami Aoyama, the new concept store will be filled with ideas from OTSUMO’s creative director NIGO®︎ and graphic artist VERDY. 


In 2022 OTSUMO CENTRE(aka OTSUMOSO), a shared atelier for globally successful creators of Tokyo, was born. “Just llike the Tokiwaso, the apartment where Showa manga artists gathered, I want to make OTSUMO CENTRE a place that embodies the activities of the creators, who will lead the next generation of Japan,” NIGO®︎ explains. Together with VERDY, who also has his studio there, they wanted to "give shape to the ideas generated by the creators of the OTSUMO CENTRE and physically develop them for an actual store". Their passion has led to the start of OTSUMO PLAZA.


The lineup will feature original items exclusively designed by VERDY for OTSUMO PLAZA, and items from his signature project Wasted Youth, and also collaboration items by NIGO®︎’s brand HUMAN MADE and other creators. This will be the first physical store where 'Wasted Youth' and VERDY design products will consistently be available. OTSUMO PLAZA will present collections and items unique to the store, forming a wide range of ideas and creativity.

【NOTES FOR OTSUMO PLAZA】
■ On Saturday, November 4, and Sunday, November 5, a lottery will be held to determine the order of entry to the OTSUMO PLAZA store. Please arrive at the store between 08:00am and 08:30am on the day. The OTSUMO PLAZA staff will provide further information about lining up.
■ Customers arriving after 08:30am will not be able to participate in the lottery. Also, please refrain from lining up before 08:00am.
■ The lottery will decide the order of entry to the store. Otsumo cannot guarantee that all products will be available at your time of entry.
■ Any fraudulent activity, such as interrupting the line, may result in being refused entry to the lottery and the store.
 ■ Depending on the situation on the day, there will be a limit to the number of items that can be purchased.
■ Failure to follow the staff's instructions may result in entry being refused.
 ■ Please be respectful of our neighbors and do not litter or stay around the area before or after the lottery. Such behavior may result in being asked to leave and a ban from entering the store in the future.
 ■ Business hours are subject to change in consideration of the guidelines and announcements of the government and local governments, and the policy of the facilities within which the store is located.
