The latest collaboration between Levi’s® and Nigo will be released on Thursday, April 6.
Following previous Levi’s® x HUMAN MADE collaborations in July 2021 and April 2022, this third collection is centered around Hickory Stripe selvedge denim, inspired by a single 501® from NIGO’s vast collection of vintage Levi’s®. The range consists of two pieces – a Hickory Stripe 501® and 557XX Hickory Stripe Trucker Jacket, both Made in Japan and crafted using traditional techniques nurtured by Levi’s®.
The Hickory Stripe 501® jeans are made from 13 oz Shrink-to-Fit™selvedge denim, which was developed specifically for this collection. From the pre-washed treatment to classic details including signature button shanks and the Red Tab, the jeans are a faithful reproduction of NIGO®’s own vintage piece. The 557XX Hickory Stripe Trucker Jacket is also crafted with 13 oz selvedge denim and comes pre-shrunk with specific threads, sundries, and a vintage wash to match the archival 501®.
For each Hickory Stripe 501® or 557XX Trucker Jacket purchased, customers will also receive a special-edition tote bag, created to mark the 150th anniversary of the 501®.
